Frequently Asked Questions

Nature's Meal was made from parents, for parents. We prioritize the quality of our ingredients and strive to create products that we would be proud to give to our own kids.

Colostrum is the pre-milk substance that comes from mammals after birth. It is packed with nutrients that help newborns develop a healthy gut and immune system.

Immunoglobulin G is an antibody naturally found in colostrum that fights infection from bacteria and viruses. Because our colostrum is collected within 24 hours, it maintains higher levels of IgG. All IgG in Nature's Meal colostrum is naturally occurring ONLY from colostrum.

Lactoferrin is a protein found in mammalian milk. It has antimicrobial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory benefits with important immunological properties.

Our colostrum is preserved in its whole form, unlike some of our competitors who fractionate and alter the valuable bioactive contents during processing. We keep colostrum in its entirety, the way nature intended it!

Yes, Nature's Meal colostrum is sourced from USDA grade A dairy farms that promise to feed calves before collecting any excess. The calves come first, and are provided with the colostrum they need to fulfill their nutritional requirements. Only then do we step in and collect the rest of the colostrum within the first 24 hours to ensure peak bioactive levels and nutrients! Our colostrum is produced in a FDA-approved facility that is GMP/HACCP certified.

Yes, adults with common GI issues such as bloating, constipation, and inflammation may benefit from the hundreds of bioactives within colostrum! The bioactives and peptides present in colostrum may help repair the body’s immune and digestive system, which can be compromised by exposure to toxins.* You should always discuss with your healthcare provider before taking any supplements.

It is best to consume colostrum with food and avoid heating it to high temperatures. You don’t want to inactivate any of those bioactive goodies! Colostrum can become a regular part of meal time, mixed in with a smoothie, milk, or other beverage.

We are unaware of any risks associated with consuming colostrum with other supplements or medications, but you should always discuss with your healthcare provider before taking any supplements.

Every person is different. Colostrum does contain milk, so individuals with milk allergies should avoid consumption. Some studies suggest that colostrum may be better tolerated by individuals with lactose intolerance due to its low lactose content.* However, reactions vary from person to person, and sensitivity to lactose can still cause discomfort in some cases. You should discuss with your healthcare provider before taking any supplements.

Currently, we are not aware of negative side effects associated with the consumption of colostrum during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Colostrum is a superfood that contains hundreds of bioactives and peptides that may aid in digestive and immune function.* However, you should always discuss with your healthcare provider before taking any supplements. Congrats on your little one, we are excited to be a part of your journey in raising a healthy baby!
